So, what’s the difference between a conventional oven and a convection oven?

The conventional oven will take about 1 – 1.5 hours to roast your chicken. Estimate about 15 minutes per pound of chicken.
Roughly about every 30 minutes, baste the chicken using the accumulated juices in the roasting pan.

Consider the chicken cooked when juices run clear. A quick read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh should read 165°F.
